At North Farmington High she wrote two books on life in a hot rock group. Central Michigan University further honed her writing skills. Later her writing ability and community involvement through the Chamber of Commerce garnered her a spot in the Fountain Hills Hall of Fame. Tammie, her husband Jerry and their four daughters with their families have been Arizona residents for the last 48 years.
