Takamichi Okubo is a therapist, solopreneur, fiction writer, poet, and Zen meditator. He is a native of Tokyo, Japan and received his A.B. from Princeton University, M.F.A. in fiction from Indiana University, and M.A. in Process-Oriented Facilitation and Conflict Studies from Process Work Institute in Portland, Oregon. His poetry and stories have been published by Beloit Poetry Journal, Amazon’s Day One, Matter Press, and The Ledge Poetry & Fiction Magazine, and his essay on translating a Japanese poet has appeared in Translation Review in 2016. He has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize for both his fiction and poetry.
