T.R.C. Hutton (PhD, Vanderbilt University 2009). teaches History, Political Science, and Appalachian Studies at Glenville State University. His first book, Bloody Breathitt: Politics & Violence in the Appalachian South, won the Weatherford Award for Nonfiction, the Kentucky History Award, and was named the Appalachian Writers’ Association's 2013 Nonfiction Book of the Year. He recently completed an institutional history of the University of Tennessee.
