Born in Boston in 1949, he lived abroad for many years due to the constant movement of his father, a freelance journalist for various American and European newspapers. Anxious to follow in his father's footsteps, he graduated in journalism from Northeastern University in Boston and, tired of only getting free internships at provincial editorial offices due to his "nomadism", began his career as a freelancer supported by a great deal of experiences stored from his travels all over the world.
