I grew up writting. My mother worked for the local newspaper. In high school I won a writting award which got me a job at the local paper. (My mom had left 18 years prior - At that time married women were not permitted to work at a newspaper). I grew up with real comedy. People were not afraid to laugh at themselves. In society it was common to tell a joke to start a conversation. The comedy is varied. This books has jokes. in constrast to the physical comedy of Dick Van Dyke or Luccille Ball. One of the Greats was Bob Hope. His comedy was tied to current events and making fun of political errors, and how they were elected. My jokes are short stories that lead you down a wrong path. I would like to think it as a version of George Burns and Gracie Allen.
These jokes are of an adult nature and have extreme sexual innuendos. Often your life experience lets your own mind jump to the punch line.
Couples are a great source of jokes due to the interaction of the sexes.
