A life-long science fiction fan herself, Sylvia Kaml was born and raised near Frankfurt, Germany, and studied veterinary medicine at the University of Gießen. Her passion for writing has led her into sociologically-focused science fiction. Having lived aproad for some years in the United States, she moved back to Germany with her husband and children, caring for animals and to continue writing.
