Susanne Pilastro celebrated her debut in 2010 with the historical novel "Kakao, die Liebe und der Tod" (Cocoa, Love and Death), which first as an audio book and later as an eBook took her to the Venezuela of the 19th century; as an audio book the story even made it into the top ten and was able to stay there for several weeks. Her first novel "Die Geliebte des gelben Mondes" (Lovers under the yellow moon) followed. Since then a novella and further novels appeared, including the trilogy about Dantez, the exiled of Córdoba (2021-2023). 2019 she published with "Saving light for Christmas" the first English translation of one of her children's books. "Peter and the flying egg" - a book about easter-traditions - followed in 2020. Susanne Pilastro was born on a July day in 1977. Although writing was part of her passion from the beginning, she decided to become teacher after graduating from high school, with a focus on industrial science, German and art; she worked full-time in fair trade for many years near Munich. Together with her husband and daughter, the Bamberg-born artist is currently living in her hometown again.
