Susan Leigh Shallcross has been writing short stories for many years. During that time, she also worked in Presidential and state politics and served as a marketing and communications director for two of the world's largest law firms. Susan holds a BA in English/History and an MBA in Marketing Management. While she now lives in the US, her ancestral roots are in the English countryside of Derbyshire, where Shallcross Manor was located. She lives in the suburbs of Washington, DC, with her husband Michael, her stepson Bill, her Scottish Terrier Morgan and her West Highland White Terrier Marin.
