Hello! My name is Summer Porter. I am from southern Michigan but my favorite memories were on Mackinac Island. I was an elementary school teacher and always enjoyed creative writing. Once I retired, I joined a couple writing groups and played with various writing styles, but I knew I had a children’s book in me and then it happened! A Mouse Tail on Mackinac Island was my big Magic. Along with my talented niece Maggie Chambers, as my illustrator, we made it happen. It has been a magical experience for both of us and stay tuned for more adventures with our favorite little family of mice on Mackinac Island.
