I grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and loved playing basketball. When I was in high school, my father took a job in New York City, and the family moved to Westchester County, New York. Luckily, I was able to continue playing basketball so I was happy. I am an Eagle Scout, and I attended the Woodstock Festival in Bethel, New York on August 16-18, 1969. I retired in 2010 from teaching Economics and Government at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wisconsin. (27 years) I have a B.A. in History and Economics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison; and a M.S. degree in Vocational Education from the University of Wisconsin, Stout. I also attended Boston University. I am married. My wife and I have 3 adult children. My wife and I love to travel and our most recent trip was to the land of my birth—Hawaii. The tropical beauty and serenity is wonderful. I really enjoyed seeing the North Shore of Oahu where world-class surfing competitions take place in November and December when the waves are the best. On our next trip, we plan to visit Paris and London. Currently, in addition to my writing, I am creating and recording acoustic guitar songs. I have a number of albums and singles on iTunes—some folk, some instrumental music for yoga.
