Stephen Murdoch is a writer and impact investor. In the early 2000s, he wrote freelance for a number of publications, from Newsweek, to the Washington Post and The Washington Lawyer, culminating in his history book about IQ tests. In the 2010s, he turned to the kind of fun fiction he gobbled up as a teenager. The first result is The Fire Priest, a book about two California boys who unfortunately come to the attention of a violent and rapacious god in an alternate universe. Stephen is a generalist investor, but particularly likes to invest in the areas of health, carbon reduction, and the circular economy. Before becoming a writer and investor, he was a human rights lawyer in Cambodia. He was born and raised in California to British parents, but now lives in the UK with his wife and three daughters.
