Dr Stephen Backhouse is a scholar, consultant and author specialising in political and social philosophy and how groups can use their power well. His doctorate from the University of Oxford was on Kierkegaard's critique of Christian Nationalism. Stephen has published a number of books and articles on religion, history, national identity and Kierkegaard. Originally from Canada, he now lives in the United Kingdom, with extended time in the United States.
