Dr Sizwe Mpofu-Walsh is a South African author, scholar, musician and producer. He holds a DPhil in International Relations from the University of Oxford. In August 2017, he published Democracy and Delusion: 10 Myths in South African Politics, which won the City Press-Tafelburg Nonfiction Award. The book was accompanied by a ten-song rap album of the same name. Mpofu-Walsh is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Wits Institute for Social and Economic Research (WiSER). His second book, The New Apartheid, is due in 2021.
