Simon HG Rowell was born in Hertfordshire in the UK. Upon graduating from college with a degree in Computer Science, he promptly left the country and worked at the European Space Agency (ESA) in Germany for nine years. He moved to the US in the mid 1990s, became a US citizen and continued his career in the computer industry, ending up working in Silicon Valley in California for over twenty years. Turning his attention to authoring books, he started with an assessment of the IT industry (Silicon Valley Job Hunting) and then to his real passion, science fiction. He now lives in Cape Coral, Florida with his wife.
