Sherry Levesque was born in Ohio to French and German parents. Her father was a printer and journalist, while her mother was a factory worker. Her two siblings were career military and recently retired. Sherry worked at Virginia Power and Light Company for nearly ten years as a Power Plant Maintenance Electrician. She joked for many years about being a "maintenance man." She entered the Rockie Mountain Book Club's writing contest in the 1994 and won first place. Sherry graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 1978, a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 1985, and a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1992. She then went on to law school. While there, she was doing some research in the psychological realm and found some very interesting cases involving a few very sick psychiatrists. After reading over 100 depositions, she decided that a lot of what she had read would make a very good psychological thriller. Taking the most frightening material from these old cases she incorporated terrorism and her heroine, Abby, and put them into one story. Sherry Levesque is physically handicapped with a partially severed spinal cord. She is currently unable to persue a career. Able to walk; however, she has a few pain issues and neurological problems that make conventional work out of the question. Due to boredom and the need to generate some cashflow, she went to the closet and dug out her notes from college and began to write. Once an idea began to take shape, she sat many hours on the porch with her mother and brother discussing "what if's." This gave birth to plot notes. These notes began to take shape into a book. After many hours she gave birth to "Demented." Gardening, knitting and crocheting, sewing and artzy/craftzy projects are her hobbies. However, there are always the smells of good food coming from her kitchen. Neighbors are constantly knocking on her door wanting to know what exotic odor is coming out of her apartment and always try to finangle a free sample of whatever it is. With the help of a three year old goddaughter/gardening expert/chef, she also loves to cook.
