Sharon Brown Coogle graduated from the University of West Florida in her hometown of Pensacola, where her ancestors settled after coming from Denmark in the 1870's. She moved to Anchorage, Alaska, in 1979 with her husband, John and their sons to pursue their love of the outdoors. This first work of fiction draws from the experience of living in Alaska, and from helping her father train his prize homing pigeons in her childhood. Sharon likes art and drew the sketches for the book using colored pencils. She attends Coastline Calvary Chapel in Gulf Breeze, and is VP and home plan designer for Country Manor Homes Inc, a construction company that she and her husband started when they moved back to Florida.
