Seth Ferranti is a former inmate turned accomplished filmmaker, author, and journalist. Ferranti served 21 years in federal prison for a nonviolent LSD/cannabis offense, but that didn't stop him from pursuing his passions. He earned three college degrees during his sentence and became an expert on gangsters, drug lords, and prison gangs, penning over 20 hard hitting books on the subject. Ferranti's passion for storytelling and knowledge of the criminal underworld led him to establish Gorilla Convict (www.gorillaconvict.com), a publishing house that has published numerous works on true crime. His writing has been featured in publications such as VICE and Penthouse, and his insight and expertise on the criminal justice system has earned him a reputation as a leading voice in the field. After being released from prison, Ferranti turned his attention to filmmaking, writing and producing the hit Netflix documentary White Boy, which chronicles the story of Rick Wershe Jr. He directed "Night Life", a moving documentary about violence interruption in North St. Louis and is currently working on several documentary film projects. Ferranti serves as a co-host for TruBlu's "Beyond Bars with Seth and Dee". Throughout his career, Ferranti has remained a passionate advocate for criminal justice reform and has spoken out against the war on drugs. His unique perspective and unparalleled expertise make him a must-read for true crime enthusiasts and a powerful voice in the fight for justice.
