Seconde Nimenya is the author of five books, including her most recent, "Unlocking Diversity: How to Create Inclusive Cultures in a World of Differences," ─a timely and thought-provoking book that challenges assumptions and the status quo on the topics of race, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and our communities. Seconde has spent more than a decade as a thought leader on diversity and inclusion in a world of differences, and through her leadership development programs, she advocates for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, education, and communities. Seconde speaks in various conferences and seminars, inspiring and empowering her audiences to use their life experiences to better themselves and others. She works with organizational leaders who want to build inclusive workplaces and communities where everyone feels accepted for who they are and what they bring to the world to make it a better place for all. Seconde Nimenya is an inspirational speaker, diversity and inclusion trainer and advocate. With more than fifteen years of multicultural leadership experience, Seconde is an authority on diversity and inclusion in the workplace and educational institutions, debunking stereotypes and biases, and sharing skills on resilience and overcoming adversity to grow personally and professionally. She immigrated to North America in the 1990s, and came to the United States by way of Canada. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and an MBA and uses her varied educational and multicultural background to inspire and empower her audiences and is considered one of the noted motivational speakers in her field. Seconde has received several awards, including the international book award for her memoir, Evolving Through Adversity, a story of her life journey in which she shares the life lessons she has learned along the way to inspire others on how to overcome challenges in life. In 2017, Seconde received the Seeds Of Hope Award from RESULTS for her work in diversity and inclusion, and bridging the gaps between diverse and multicultural communities. She is a TEDx speaker on race and culture identity, and has appeared in various media outlets. Her TEDx talk titled, "We Are Not All that Different" continues to inspire people worldwide. Today, Seconde Nimenya is a diversity and inclusion leadership advocate, coaching organizational leaders on the topics of race relations, cultural competence, and overcoming unconscious bias in the workplace and our communities.
