Scott is a fun-loving, espresso-drinking, outdoor enthusiast who is passionate about the wonderful world of stock investing. His love of teaching has taken him into the corporate world, universities and public-school systems across North America. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Education along with an after-degree certificate in Business & Finance. Scott spent a short stint working in the financial sector where he realized that more investors needed to take back control of their investment portfolios and learn how to create a better lifestyle for themselves with a little investment knowledge. Since retiring from the teaching profession, Scott has been researching and writing about stock investing in emerging markets. He loves seeing others develop money management and investment strategies that’ll have a huge impact on the quality of their lives down the road. This fuels his personal passion for sharing his interests in the do-it-yourself investment arena. When Scott is not having fun learning about his passion for the investment world, he can be found hiking, mountain biking, kayaking and rock climbing with his wife Susan. When they’re taking some down time, you’ll see them enjoying the outdoors by being physically active in the company of Mother Nature. Above all - Scott enjoys living life to the fullest and creating lasting memories. He hopes that his books will empower you to do the same.
