Scott Balcerzak is an associate professor of film and media in the Department of English at Northern Illinois University. He is the author of 'Buffoon Men: Classic Hollywood Comedians and Queered Masculinity' (Wayne State University Press, 2013) and the coeditor of 'Cinephilia in the Age of Digital Reproduction: Film, Pleasure, and Digital Culture,' volumes 1 and 2 (Wallflower Press, 2009, 2012). He has also published articles in 'Film and Literature Quarterly,' 'Post Script,' 'Camera Obscura,' 'The Journal of Film and Video,' and 'The Quarterly Review of Film and Video.' His upcoming book is 'Beyond Method: Stella Adler and the Male Actor' (Wayne State University Press, 2018).
