Sara Thurman

Sara Thurman

Sara is known for the joy she carries in whatever she is doing, which happens to include gardening in her backyard with her chickens, taking daily walks with her two dogs, Coda and Chico, and experiencing adventures to the ends of the earth. Now in her early 60's, she is growing as an artist, author, and teacher of hearing God's voice. Recently she has been told that she has flunked retirement. Sara worked in Texas public schools in the roles of teacher and principal in the elementary, middle school and central administrative levels. She received her Doctorate in Education in K-12 School Leadership and retired after a successful 24-year career. She now lives in Wimberley, Texas with her husband, Wayman (My Man). She has two sons, Samuel and Justin, stepson Jared, three daughters-in-love, Rachel, Ana, and Donna, a precious granddaughter, Heba, and an amazing grandson, Jonah. Small Beginnings: A Journey to the Impossible is her first published book about her journey of becoming an artist after believing for 56 years she was not an artist. Sara welcomes connections and communication on her website, or where you can purchase signed copies of her book, artwork, mentoring packages, retreats, classes and online courses. Follow her on Instagram with a growing following @actsoneeightblessings.
