Russo Shanidze has self-published a trilogy of compelling works. Her literary journey began with a poetry collection titled A Hummingbird's Reminder, released in 2019, followed by a novel titled A Hummingbird’s Nest. In 2021, Russo unveiled her deeply personal and inspiring memoir, A Hummingbird's Awakening. In 2020, she ventured into the world of audio poetry with her unique creation, Poems by Russo Shanidze. Her works have been published in Adelaide Literary Magazine, December 7, 2022.
Russo’s passion for writing ignited in her childhood. From the ages of eight to eleven, she grasped and treasured poetry, but then as she grew up, she lost connection with it for many years, until she found it again. She shares, “I don’t know whether I discovered poetry or if it found me first. Yet, I believe we both were in search of one another. As Rumi said, “What you seek is seeking you.””
Russo Shanidze holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Media Studies and Television Broadcasting from the University of Westminster in London. Her professional journey led her to the exciting world of international television broadcasting and production.
Eighteen years ago, Russo established her home in the United States. Currently, she lives in Los Angeles and works as a writer, poetry, and creative writing coach, and voice over artist.
