Roy Burgess was once an IT manager. This involved sitting in a cubicle and making stuff up. Having retired from this high octane lifestyle, he now sits in his home office and makes stuff up. You may think The Fifth Trilogy is complete. After all, there are three books - The Fifth Tweet, The Fifth Thunderbolt, and The Fifth Man.  However, in common with the great Caimh McDonnell, he didn’t think this through. (He’s already confessed to being an idiot.) Frankie will return soon, whether it ends up being the fourth book in The Fifth Trilogy, or the first book in The Sixth Trilogy or something else entirely. The working title is The Fifth Door, and if he sorts out the ordinal numbers in time, will launch in the summer of 2024. Roy is also working on a new series in a different genre. The Price We Pay is a police procedural, introducing DI Carrie Tyler. We’ll announce more about that in the coming weeks.  West Yorkshire born and bred, Roy spends a lot of time staring out of the window at the Leeds - Liverpool canal. Music is a constant companion to his writing. Roy is also the proud owner of an OEIC (whatever that is).
