Roy's first novel, Daemon Parallel, was shortlisted for both the Kelpies and the Sceptre prize. A sequel, Werewolf Parallel, completes a duology that’s been praised as “a Scottish Neverwhere”. As a scriptwriter, Roy's work includes several episodes of Big Finish's acclaimed audio drama series The Confessions of Dorian Gray, an adventure for Iris Wildthyme, and Dark Shadows: Panic. Recent short stories have appeared in Fifteen, Out There, the British Fantasy Society Journal and Further Encounters of Sherlock Holmes. He was a Scottish Book Trust New Writers Award Winner in 2010.
