Earlier in her career, Roxanne wrote non-fiction books about the human-animal bond, particularly about service animals, and often includes this in her fiction. So far, she's written books with autism service dogs (MONTANA DAWN, HER MONTANA HERO), police service dogs (A DOG CALLED VALENTINE), therapeutic horseback riding (WILD SKY REDEMPTION, THE RANCHER'S LOST BRIDE) as well as feral cat colonies, wild mustangs, match-making dogs and lots of other animals. In her spare time, Roxanne wrangles her suburban wilderness garden, which she shares with deer, coyotes, bear, bobcat and even a cougar, though thankfully she hasn't seen that one. She dabbles in many things, including painting, piano, yoga, baking bread but her favorite thing is, of course, reading.
