I am Ronald Hudkins. Born in Canton, Ohio, and nurtured in the neighboring town of Massillon, my journey as a writer is as varied as the genres I delve into. The call of duty saw me joining the military in 1970. After 23 dedicated years, I retired honorably from the U.S. Army, specifically the Military Police Corps, in 1993.
My thirst for knowledge led me to multiple institutions: Kent State University, Maryland University, Central Texas College (European Branch), Blair Junior College, Hagerstown Junior College, and Phoenix University. Over time, I pursued both Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. But beyond the parchments and higher education, it was the tapestry of experiences – the bonds forged, diverse cuisines tasted, and the myriad places I've called home – that have truly enriched my narrative and influenced my writing.
Every military base, every classroom, every interaction, and every cultural immersion has given me a fresh perspective, each subtly molding my literary voice. While I value the structured learning from my academic endeavors, I've often found that some of my most profound insights come from spontaneous conversations, unexpected detours, or even the simple act of observing the world around me.
Writing, for me, is more than a profession; it's a conduit to share the world I've seen, both in its brilliant vibrancy and its quiet introspections.
