Renowned as a television networks announcer, Ron B Knight has been heard by many as national network voice for ABC, Nickelodeon, The Travel Channel, ABC's Wide World of Sports; and the formative first 5 years as host and programmer for Sirius XM in its formative years for Sirius Satellite Radio (A&E, Bravo Network Radio, Inside Sirius & Horizons. His other media credits include time in the Director's Pool at Marvel Productions, Saturday Morning and specials cartoon fare for CBS, HBO, as well as corporate and trade presentations for the NFL, NFL Properties, KFC-Pepsi-Co, Burger King, Budget Rent-A-Car, Seven-Eleven, ERA Real Estate, Macy's, Giant Foods, Safeway, MAC ATM cards, BMW, Universal Studios, Disney Resorts and other leading advertisers; casting and soundtrack direction for anime films from Central Park Media, Colossal Pictures-King Features, Tiger Toys, Canon, and leading installation productions at Universal Studios, WDI - Disney Resorts and Parks, Disney-MGM Post Group. He has added color, presentation and humor to many corporate trade show events as announcer, emcee and host. While Ron's background education includes Entertainment Television at USC and UCLA; and New York University (featuring the late Buddy Baker of Walt Disney Studios); he is also well studied in Comedy, Characters and Improvisation for Commercials at the School for Film and Television; Improv and Comedy with Chicago City Limits; Stand Up Comedy with The American Comedy Institute, and has appeared at Caroline's, Stand Up New York, Don't Tell Mama, and other clubs and dates. As a coach and keynote, Ron has appeared at various education platforms and conferences which include the National Association of Broadcasters, many State Broadcasters Associations, the Intercollegiate Broadcasters Association, Meckler-Media, Jupiter Media Communications, Wacfest (World Animation Celebration) the Themed Entertainment Association - Urban Land Institute, The Computer Game Developers Conference, Mip-TV, MipCom, Milia, and the NIMBLE new media conferences. With over a decade spent in the heart of the Big Apple in publishing and time spent with Archie Comics at the time is was the second largest global publishers of humor comic magazines and books, as well as gleaning stories from news media and the Associated Press when at Sirius Radio gave Mr. Knight a keen perspective on who and what was behind the news, who was creating the news and always found humorous parable from it to be laid out in the column inches. As a columnist and writer, Ron has been found in a few Alternative Newsweekly Press publications, including te metros of San Francisco, San Diego, Central Florida and the New York regions. His "slightly Left of Center", usually whimsical perspective has been heard as the host of “The Opposition Party” on Sirius Left, as broadcast on Sirius Radio. His first time spent as a younger radio journalist, Ron pulled copy for “Uncle Patrick’s Whacky News” as audio segments produced and read by George Carlin’s older brother Patrick, who Ron was fortunate enough to have camped out with for 8 months every afternoon through late night evening as the two were locked in a radio station together to anchor all media for an entire Northeast Los Angeles County high desert empire.
