Hi, I'm Roger Helland. I grew up in Southern California but now live in Canada, near Calgary, Alberta. I love Mexican food, ice cream, baseball, powder skiing, music, reading and writing, teaching and preaching, and a good cup of coffee. My passion is for the spiritual and missional renewal of the church--that pastors and church leaders and churches would thrive and flourish in missional disciple making. Over the past 35 years, I've served as a pastor, Bible college and seminary professor, denominational leader, mentor, and am the author of seven books. My current role is Prayer Ambassador for the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada. Previously I served as District Minister of the Baptist General Conference Alberta. I graduated from Dallas Seminary with a ThM in Old Testament and Trinity Western University with a DMin in Leadership and Spiritual Formation. I've served in the Vineyard, Mennonite Brethren, Christian and Missionary Alliance, and Baptists traditions. I am a Pietist, committed to the Spirit and the Scriptures, and devoted to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. I have three children and six grand children. At present, Matthew 4:23-24; Acts 6:4; Jude 20-21, and Galatians 3:5 focus my life and leadership under the confession that Jesus Christ is Lord! My vision is for Christians, churches, and communites to experience revival.
