Roberto Quesada, a quien el prestigioso escritor estadounidense definió como “Claro, vivaz y muy talentoso escritor, completamente divertido y con ideas muy provocativas”, nació en Honduras.
Sus libros han sido reseñados por The New York Times, El País, España (Babelia), Enciclopedia Británica, entre otros.
Es autor de El desertor (cuentos, 1985); Los barcos (novela, 1988), que fue traducida al inglés por Hardie St. Martin y publicada por 4 Walls 8 Windows, de Nueva York en 1992. Su novela The Big Banana (Arte Público Prees University of Houston), fue publicada primero en inglés y más tarde por la prestigiosa editorial Seix Barral (España); Nunca entres por Miami (Mondadori, 2002) y por las Universidad de Houston, Arte Publico Press Never Through Miami; El Equilibrista (Alfaguara 2013).
En 1996 recibió el Premio The American Institute Award of Writers in the United States, y en el 2009 el Premio Nacional de Periodismo “Jacobo Cárcamo”. Premio El Quijote 2016, Desfile d ela Hispanidad, Nueva York.
Fue diplomático para Honduras por 14 años en las Naciones Unidas.
Actualmente es editor en su propia editorial Big Banana Publishers. Y es analista internacional para HispanTV y RT.
Quesada vive en Queens, New York, junto a su esposa Lucy Pagoada-Quesada, maestra del Departamento de Educación de Nueva York y su hijo Roberto Quesada Jr. Premio Ezra Jack Keats a nivel de las escuelas primarias de la Ciudad de Nueva York 2016.
Roberto Quesada, whom the prestigious American writer Kurt Vonnegut has called, “A lively and gifted writer full of amusing and thought-provoking ideas", was born in Honduras and is the author of The Deserter (short stories, 1985), The ships (a novel, 1988) published by (Four Walls Eight Windows) and has enjoyed a great deal of success in the US. Big Banana, his third novel, was published in 1999 by (Arte Publico Press, University of Houston), with its edition in Spanish published by (Seix Barral, 2000). Never enter Miami was published by (Mondadori, 2002) and The Tightrope by (Alfaguara 2013).

He’s former diplomat of Honduras to the United Nations for 14 years.
Quesada, currently lives in New York with his wife, Lucy Pagoada-Quesada a New York City Department of Education teacher and his eleven years old son, Roberto Quesada Jr., a young artist and City-wide winner of the 30th annual Ezra Jack Keats Bookmaking Competition in New York City with his book “Some Skyscrapers Are…,”
