ABOUT THE AUTHOR Bob was raised in Chicago, enlisting in the Air Force in 1968. Following four years service as a Russian Linguist in Security Service Command, a branch of the NSA, Bob attended DePaul University and The John Marshall Law School. With over thirty years experience as a criminal defense lawyer in Chicago, Bob brings a lifetime of understanding and experience to his novels. His Running with Cannibals is the Grand Prize winner of the CIBA 2022 Hemingway Award for best 20th C wartime fiction. A Long Way from Clare is a 2023 Pencraft Best Book Award winner and was named a category finalist for the 2024 Eric Hoffer Award. The author lives in the Chicago area with his wife and spends winter months near Richmond.
