I've had the good fortune to work for some great organizations, many of them household names. As importantly, I've been blessed to work for some magnificent leaders, and a few at the other end of the spectrum. As one often learns more from their mistakes than from their successes, I've probably learned more from poor leaders than from good. What I learned, however was not only what not to do, but the behaviors that good leaders use to differentiate themselves from the crowd. Although my corporate career started out using my Engineering degree, about 20 years in, I had the good fortune of landing some fabulous jobs that exposed me to LEAN and my world has never been the same.
