Richard J. Bennett (b. 1957) is the author and illustrator of 'EVERYTHING I NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED IN BOY SCOUTS: The Story of Troop 826'. He has spent all of his life in the North Texas area, growing up in Irving, Texas, and being involved with the Boy Scouts there during the 1960's. Looking back over his life he decided that these were some of the happiest days of his youth and wished to share his adventures and observations with others, especially Scouts and their parents. Mr. Bennett is retired from the U.S. Postal Service as well as the Air Force Reserves. He now has turned his time and energy towards being a full-time writer for fun and enjoyment. His other books are 'FAITH AND LABOR', 'THE LOVELY CHOCOLATE MOB', and 'THE MIGHTY HOGS OF LOVELY HIGH'. He has also written the short story, 'MIKE, THE BIKE, AND THE GREAT BIG FIGHT' on sale at Kindle. He also has narrated the following books: His fictional work, 'THE LOVELY CHOCOLATE MOB', 'THE MIGHTY HOGS OF LOVELY HIGH', 'SMALL TALES ABOUT YOUNG KIDS', as well as Marvin Harvey's autobiography, "A LIFE WORTH LIVING: 2 PRAYERS AND 6 MIRACLES' and S.A. Mahan's futuristic 'A PIGEON'S TALE'. He has also recorded four western books for Douglas R. Cobb, 'THE GUNS OF HECK THOMAS', 'MEN OF IRON WILL' (aka 'Lawmen of Iron Will'), 'GUNS OF THE GRINGO', and 'BASS REEVES OUTWITS THE DEVIL', all available on Audio.com.
