Co-founder of Threshold to New Life (www.threshold2newlife.org), Richard Bahr, spends his time loving those that many in society deem unlovable - the homeless and those struggling with poverty and addiction. He and his wife, Carla, work to "find a need, meet a need" with their ministry by preventing homelessness and closing gaps in people's lives. Net proceeds of all book sales help to fund this work. In cooperation with Carl Medearis, he developed the study guide for the book "Speaking of Jesus - the art of not-evangelism" in 2013. Medearis is a master at providing alternate perspectives, and this book shows how we can share our faith in Jesus in a fresh and effective way. Released in June 2016, "Amazed - Why the Humanity of Jesus Matters" is a one-of-a-kind book provides a peek into the live of Jesus and his humanity, why that matters and reveals to the reader what just might be God's Big Idea. In October 2018, Richard released, "Those People - The True Character of the Homeless" featuring true and remarkable stories of those he has served in the homeless community. The book will leave the reader forever changed, challenging past judgments made of others, particularly those living with little financial margin.
