Regina R. Robertson is an award-winning author, journalist, scriptwriter and dreamer. Robertson edited the anthology, He Never Came Home: Interviews, Stories, and Essays from Daughters on Life Without Their Fathers (Agate Bolden), which includes a foreword by MSNBC host Joy-Ann Reid and as-told-to essays by Regina King and Gabrielle Reece, to name a few. Shortly after publication, the book sold out of its first print run and later, won an AAMBC Literary Award for Non-Fiction/Self-Help Book of the Year. Robertson also won an AAMBC Award for Breakout Author. For over a decade, she served as west coast editor at Essence magazine. During her tenure, Robertson penned over 20 cover stories, countless features and the digital column, View from the West. Her work has also been published in O, the Oprah Magazine, on TheRoot.com and The Associated Press newswire. She has been quoted in The Los Angeles Times and appeared as a featured guest on CNN International, MSNBC, SiriusXM Radio, The Talk, The Real, Access Live, NPR and KTLA-TV. Along with her non-fiction and editorial writing, Robertson has expanded her repertoire to include live events. To date, she has crafted scripts for the 95th Oscars Nominees Luncheon, The Audacious Project at TED, TIME100: The Most Influential People 2020 and Global Citizen’s Global Goal: Unite for Our Future, as well as pre-shows for the BET Awards, Soul Train Awards and NAACP Image Awards. She also serves as consulting producer on The Wine Down with Mary J. Blige. A New York native and graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Robertson remains focused on telling bold stories, no matter the medium. She is based in Los Angeles.
