Nebesar has made costumes for various theater and dance productions, including for the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and for the Boston Ballet. For several years she taught art. She has written articles on pattern-making and clothing design published in Threads Magazine. Nebesar holds a bachelor's degree in design from Cornell University's College of Human Ecology and a masters degree in education in integrating art in the curriculum from Leslie University.
