Dr. R.M. Tappin holds a Ph.D. in Business Management and Organization, with a specialization in Management Education. Having been immersed in academic writing through her business, she recently entered the exciting, bewildering, and befuddling world of indie publishing. As a continual learner, Dr. Tappin acknowledges she has a LOT to learn from others in the field, and from reviewers - some of whose assessments of her works alternately delight, bemuse, or confound her...but always inspire her to higher learning and improvement. A lover of history and poetry, Dr. Tappin’s multi-faceted literary interests span apocryphal biblical and other sacred texts, religious and political genres. She also has a passion for rescuing public domain literary works from obscurity and rendering them in up-to-date language and formatting suitable for the 21st-century reader and scholar. Updates to several of these texts include commentaries, annotations, and illustrations. Her first historical fiction novella, Whispering Quilts, is about a slave family attempting to flee the brutality of a South Carolina Plantation in the mid-1800s. They are helped by abolitionists and guided by coded quilt patterns, which signal warnings of danger or safety; failing to interpret the patterns correctly can result in recapture, brutal punishments, or death. Will they make it? UPCOMING WORKS: Apocalyptic: A sobering tale of how the children of Lucifer, from the lineage of Cain and identified in John 8:44, continue to wage war against the One True God, YHWH, through politics, race, and religion. Do they know who they are, and is there a way to recognize them by their fruits in the 21st century? How do they fit into the Creator’s plan for the [so-called "Rapture"] event described by Yeshua in Matthew 24:40-41. Historical Fiction: A paranormal historical fiction romance set in the antebellum South. Original Works of Poetry: Traditional and Japanese style tanka and haiku poems. Religious: The pagan roots of some popular Christian celebrations are examined in light of John 4: 24. Works from the Public Domain: Classics, religious, and sacred texts revised and reformatted for the 21st-century booklover. Enlightened readers, students, and scholars will appreciate these versions, which are being updated with annotations, commentaries, and illustrations. Sacred text released in 2020: The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ Link: https://amzn.to/3as75DZ Facebook: www.facebook.com/rmtappinauthor Website: www.rmtappin.com Twitter: www.twitter.com/rmtappin_author Blog - coming soon: www.indie-blogging.com
