Priya is an Assistant Professor of Pollinator Health and Apiculture at Mississippi State University. She grew up in India and earned her Ph.D. in Zoology before immigrating to the United States. She studies bee biology and health and her research is focused on how to protect these important pollinators. Priya wears multiple hats in leadership roles in various entomological and apicultural societies of North America, in lab and at home. An avid reader and nature lover, Priya enjoys learning from the fascinating behavior and biology of bees. Priya also appreciates the opportunity to work with the community and various stakeholder groups in spreading pollinator awareness.
