Peter Lawrence was brought up in Zambia/Northern Rhodesia and educated in England, ending up at Cambridge University, a wasted three years for all concerned. He has been a professional writer since he was 20. His career as an author has two parallel tracks: the first is as a solo writer and includes titles like FISHING FOR CROCODILES, SMOKE AND DUST, and several children's books. The second is his long-term, ongoing collaboration with Chris Trengove. Barely in their 20s, they wrote 'It's Your Money... ' and then 'Engulfed... '. Both sold well until their publisher went belly up. Those first two books ('Unmistakably the start of an irresistible joint talent' - The Times) are on Kindle and selling quite strongly once more. Their joint work 'Frankenstein Vigilante-The Steampunk Series-The Incorruptibles,' is now on Kindle, published in 2012. It's the first of 'The Steampunk Series.' Book Two will be published in the autumn of 2013. They've recently (May 2013) completed the first two titles of 'The Horror Stories': BLOOD RANCH and LOOM, both on Kindle. And they're working on the follow up to 'It's Your Money... ' and ' Engulfed... ' titled THE MAO TSE TUNG WORKERS REVOLUTIONARY STRIPTEASE EMPORIUM. This will be Book Three of 'The London Chronicles,' to which will be added FLASH CHORD and BERMONDSEY CADILLAC. Peter Lawrence has written, produced and/or story edited several iconic television shows, including 'ThunderCats,' SilverHawks,' 'The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest,' and 'Fox's Peter Pan & The Pirates.'  He has written 20-odd screenplays. "As someone smarter than I remarked 'Screenplays are not written; they're re-written.' But, no complaints, writing is my passion and I've been lucky enough to make a living out of it from the start." Peter moved from Europe to the USA in the late 1980s and now lives on a boat in California. He has one daughter, Olivia, living in England. He realizes that he knows less now than he ever did as a teenager and is shocked to find that some of his and Chris's most outrageous, satirical flights of fancy have passed from fiction to fact. Absurdism as reality.
