Pauline Panagiotou-Schneider was born in Nigeria (1963-) to a Greek father and a South Dakotan mother. Her life-long environmentalism was inspired by her exposure to different ecosystems across the planet. She spent her formative years on three continents, Africa (Nigeria), Europe (Athens, Greece), and North America (Queens, New York, Los Angeles, and Amarillo, Texas). Pauline Schneider remembers living through the beginning of the Biafra war in Nigeria when, as a child, men came to her home with torches and threatened to burn it down. She also remembers witnessing a coup in Greece aided by the CIA who helped overthrow a democratically elected president and install a general as a dictator. Pauline is an artist, songwriter, educator, and documentarian. Ms. Ladybug and Mr. Honeybee is her first book. It was inspired by the lectures of Professor Guy R. McPherson. She founded Woodthrush Productions in 2003 and now produces YouTube videos regularly for her channel, Pauline Project Love, and joint channel with Guy McPherson, Nature Bats Last, and publishes books under the Woodthrush Imprint. https://www.paulinepschneider.com/ Ms. Schneider moved to Belize for 2.5 years to run her off-grid farm Stardust Sanctuary Farm on 57 acres. She currently lives in Vermont with her Yorkies and co-author, Professor Guy McPherson, and practices permaculture gardening on their 1/2-acre property.
