Patricia Burroughs--Pooks--began her writing career in romance with five published novels. She received nominations and recognition from RT Reviews and was a Finalist for Romance Writers of America's RITA. She is the only screenwriter in history to be a Finalist twice with two different scripts for the Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting. The second occasion, she received the $30,000 Fellowship from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences for "Redemption," an adaptation of her first published novel, La Desperada. In 2015 Pooks was honored to receive a "Pioneer of Romance Award" from RT, and This Crumbling Pageant, Volume One of The Fury Triad received a Golden Quill Award for Best Romantic Fantasy. She is incredibly proud of the short story anthology she edited, hand picking very author and story in it, Debris & Detritus, The Lesser Greek Gods, and wishes every one of you would buy and read it! It's eclectic and funny and terrifying, each story a unique spin on the idea, what if there were Greek gods named Debris & Detritus? From the streets of Austin, Texas to London, England to Mount Olympus and beyond, you never know where they will turn up and who they are. October 31, 2017 marked the release of The Dead Shall Live, Volume Two of The Fury Triad to phenomenal reader reviews. She is presently writing Untune the Sky, the conclusion of The Fury Triad and hopes to have it launch on December 31, 2018.
