Nathan Tarantla grew up in Michigan, getting chased by dogman, chasing animals away from hunters, investigating haunted caves, and building fake altars in the woods to frighten local bullies. At night he bathed in the glow of Star Trek, The Outer Limits, and Kolchak: The Night Stalker, whenever he could. Lurid comics and pulp fiction carpeted his bedroom floor. A career in technical writing served him through the Age of Bag Phones and into years of self-taught web and database design and management. Many years were dedicated to studying cryptozoology, the occult, and the paranormal. Now he cares for an aged relative and tends stray cats between visits to swamps, deserts and forests, where he continues to chase, with GoPro and trailcam, the wily Chupacabra, Bigfoot (and Baby Bigfoot), Crabby, and other phenomenon. Nathan is not above building, when necessary, an occasional faux altar in the woods or marsh, to frighten off unsavory characters who would dare bring the evil of man into his adopted domain.
