N. E. Riggs rewrites the universe one improbable idea at a time.

Born in Chicago and now hiding out in Vincennes, Indiana, Riggs is a math professor who prefers worldbuilding over the real world, mostly because the real world refuses to let dragons, cosmic libraries, or reality-bending gateways exist on campus.

A lifelong storyteller with a soft spot for science-touched fantasy, Riggs blends myth, physics, theology, and “what-ifs” into sprawling epics filled with humor, heart, and characters who never seem to do what they’re told.

Famous among students for unleashing math jokes no one asked for, Riggs avoids writing hard sci-fi for a very noble reason: “If I ever wrote hard sci-fi, I’d have to include data sets, graphs, equations, and maybe even a proof or two and I’m not here to cause math trauma.”

When not teaching or building universes, Riggs can be found obsessing over continuity details, crafting new systems of magic, or plotting how to merge fantasy and sci-fi in ways that absolutely should not work… yet somehow do.

If you enjoy books with layered worlds, cosmic mysteries, character-driven chaos, and a sharp streak of humor, you’re in the right place.
