I am the McCormick Foundation Clinical Professor of Technology and the Director of the Center for Research in Technology & Innovation at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. My current research and teaching interests include social media and digital marketing, business innovation and engagement marketing. I teach Product Management for Technology Companies and Technology Marketing at the Kellogg School of Management. I have written six books as well as dozens of influential articles in leading academic journals and managerial publications. I have been widely recognized for my teaching, research and thought leadership including the 2006 Sidney Levy Award for Teaching Excellence at the Kellogg School, the 2005 runner-up for Best Paper in Journal of Interactive Marketing, the 2001 Accenture Award for the best paper published in California Management Review in 2000 and the Outstanding Professor of the Year at Kellogg in 1998. I received the Distinguished Alumnus award from IIM Calcutta and was named one of the top 50 management thinkers of Indian origin in 2012. My Global 2000 consulting and speaking clients include AT&T, Allstate, Cisco Systems, DuPont, Facebook, GE, General Mills, Google, Johnson & Johnson, McDonald’s, Microsoft, Nissan, Raytheon, SAP, Sony and Teradata. I serve on the boards and advisory boards of several technology companies, including Bahwan Cybertek, EXLService, vMock and Georama. I love wine, international travel, photography and running. I have run 8 half marathons and pushed myself across the finish line at the 2013 Chicago Marathon at the age of 50!
