Michael L. Snyder was born and raised in Loudonville, Ohio, a small town of 2800. He has been an independent agricultural consultant (agronomist) in north-central Ohio since 1977. Married to Vonnie in 1975, they raised six children. Vonnie passed away from breast cancer in 2007. Michael remarried Claudia in 2010. Together they are thoroughly enjoying being grandparents to two step-grandchildren and 6 grandchildren (with more on the way!).
Michael was a school board member for 16 years and served as board president and vice-president. He is a charter member of the Ohio Association of Independent Crop Consultants, serving as president, vice-president and secretary.
Writing has become quite a hobby for Michael. "Losing Vonnie" is his first book, which is the story of Vonnie's battle with breast cancer. He is in the process of completing a second book called "Harbor Of Heart", and allegory about finding forgiveness, healing and restoration of the heart. A third book is also in the works. It will probably be entitled "From Mourning To Dancing". That book will chronicle Michael's journey through the mourning process, the richest spiritual time in his life. Mourning is a process one can work through or get stuck in. The book will be about getting the best out of what can be the worst time in a person's life.
