Michael Coffino was a business litigation and trial attorney for four decades and, in parallel with his legal career, spent 24 years as a basketball coach, primarily at the high school level. He is now a full-time writer and editor. He has published several works, finding a niche both as a ghostwriter of various memoir and non-fiction genre, including true crime, the military, self-empowerment, and traditional life stories, and as a writer of historical and literary fiction. Michael also ghostwrites a variety of other material, including web content, and writes articles and blogs, and freelance edits. Michael grew up in the Bronx, in its Mott Haven and Highbridge neighborhoods. He earned a BS in Education from the City University of New York and a JD from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. He served in the US military from 1968-1970. Michael plays guitar, holds a black belt in karate, is a workout junkie, hikes regularly in the hills and mountains of California and Colorado, and plays pickleball.
