Megan, also known by, The Mental Survivalist, is an MSW, ACADC, CCTP-II, EMDR-C, and a Certified EMDR and Clinical Trauma Clinician, Consultant and Trainer through the Institute of Traumatic Growth & Resiliency. Megan is changing the landscape of traditional mental health treatment, pushing the need for vulnerability and authenticity while challenging clinicians and clients to come back in touch with their true identity and break the stigma of shame and limitations in their lives. Megan’s trainings have helped thousands of clinicians across the U.S. and Internationally develop skills that transform and transcend barriers in treatment. She has been of the most requested National speakers for PESI and trains with a large body of entities in her specialties of trauma, EMDR, IFS and addiction. Megan is the author of EMDR Workbook for Trauma and PTSD: Skills to Manage Triggers, Move Beyond Traumatic Memories; and Take Back Your Life, and is set to release EMDR for Dummies with Wiley Publishing in April 2024 as well as, an EMDR therapeutic flip chart for clinicians through PESI Publishing in the fall of 2024. Her passion for her career is deeply rooted in her own personal struggles through Complex PTSD which she continues to navigate and learn through.
