Marty Mokler Banks is a children's author, travel writer, tennis player, hockey fan and dog lover. She is the author of five books, including the popular chapter book series, THE G.G. SERIES, about a sassy, spunky eight-year-old girl who tries a new extreme sport in each book. Marty's children's picture book, THE SPLATTERS LEARN SOME MANNERS (Harvest House Publishers, 2009) was a Colorado Book Award finalist for Children's Literature, 2010. A graduate of the University of Colorado-Boulder's School of Journalism and Mass Communications, Marty also attended the University of Iowa Writer's Workshop. An active member of the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI), she lives in Colorado with her family and dogs.
