Martin Connolly,was born in Belfast in 1951. Married with seven grown up children, he has researched in Psychology, Theology, Judaism and the Holocaust. He has published in magazines, and produced teaching materials in the three disciplines. His book Dark Angel, the story of Mary Ann Cotton has continued to be the most complete account of Mary Ann and her daughter. It has also been acclaimed for the detailed research of the legal court case. His book, The Munich Man, is a detailed account of the case of Admiral Domville, interned without trial as an Nazi sympathiser at the start of WW2. Martin, fronted a mini-video for the BBC about the West Auckland miners winning a world cup trophy, based on his book The Miners' Triumph: The First English World Cup Win in Football History. This is the most accurate account of this amazing football story. His book on the founding of Israel, drew this comment, "Very readable, incisive and well documented....Great telling of the Jewish story. Highly recommend".
