Fr. Mark Mossa, S.J. is a Jesuit priest. Before becoming a Jesuit his job titles included assistant manager at a video rental store, a pizza delivery man, district manager with a city newspaper, and a parish director of youth and young adult ministry. From the time he was a teenager he did freelance writing for a local newspaper, and was editor-in-chief of his college student newspaper. He is grateful that many of those earlier writing efforts never made the internet. He has taught at Loyola University in New Orleans, Fordham University in New York, University of Detroit Mercy, and Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL. He has taught philosophy, theology, and writing. He is a passionate advocate of ministry to young adults in their 20s and 30s, and has offered many retreats and talks for them around the country. He currently teaches in the department of Religious Studies at Loyola University in New Orleans. His writing has appeared in various Catholic publications, and he is the author of Saint Ignatius Loyola, The Spiritual Writings, and Already There: Letting God Find You. He always aspired to be a superhero, but finds that being a priest is a perfectly acceptable alternative.
