Mark Britz focuses on helping employees work together better to increase engagement and accelerate knowledge sharing. Using both formal and social strategies he has altered conventional beliefs about organizational development and has helped companies improve their execution, agility, and collaborative technology use. He began his career as an educator, expanding into eLearning design at companies such as Smartforce, KnowledgeNet, and Pearson Digital Learning. As an organizational development leader, he worked to place social at the center of learning at companies such as Aspen Dental Management and Systems Made Simple. Mark is an international speaker on the topics of continuous learning, collaboration, and organizational social design. He was recognized by the Internet Time Alliance for his work, receiving the Jay Cross Memorial Award in 2018. The award is “given to professionals who continuously welcome challenges at the cutting edge of their expertise…” In addition to his own writing, his work has been featured in the books Revolutionize Learning & Development: Performance and Innovation Strategy for the Information Age and The Social Learning Handbook. Mark’s consultancy, Social By Design Solutions, focuses on helping organizations “stay small to grow successfully”.
